If you are looking for an easier way to lose fat then this short guide might just be for you, there are many lifestyle mistakes we make daily which can slow our weight loss right down to almost a crawl.
If you are making little or no progress then perhaps it’s time to make a few very small changes, forget starving yourself, counting all those calories or even eliminating your favorite foods altogether.
These sort of ideas above will just leave you drained, feeling deflated and ultimately further away from your goal.
I’m sure if you sat and thought about it for a few minutes you would see at least five changes you could make to your daily lifestyle, making a long-lasting healthy affect where you won’t keep having to cheat and skip steps that are important, you will achieve your goals much sooner and easier if you st
op making a few simple mistakes, we will look through some of them here:
Lack Of Sleep
Everybody needs to sleep more including you, whilst most doctors recommend at least 8 hours per night, this varies person to person so you may be having only 7 hours now but may need 9.
When you don’t get the sleep your body needs, your more likely to get hungry, eat more and put on weight.
But why does this happen? well it’s simple really.
When your tired the last thing on your mind is cooking a healthy meal and you more likely to opt for the easier fast food option, another problem with this distinct lack of energy is your more likely to skip the gym, on top of all of that, sleep deprivation can slow your metabolism considerably, not something you want when losing weight.
Sadly most people have a bad habit of sitting in front of the tv for hours on end after work to relax, this is not a good way to lose weight.
If you have to watch that tv show or the news, it is also a good time to burn some calories whilst your at it. Keep some hand weights next to the sofa and use the time to work your arms whilst watching tv and stand up and do squats and lunges to work your legs, also try sit ups and press ups for toning your arms and abs.
Many people do it who have busy lives but having a good breakfast keeps you going all morning avoiding the need to snack before lunch, if you do skip breakfast you are more likely to stock up on bad calories from processed snacks and a large lunch.
Fitting breakfast into your schedule can be a key point to consider in losing weight and keeping the pounds off, just to get to bed a bit earlier on a night and awaken earlier to give yourself time to eat a healthy breakfast.
Drinking Far Too Much Sugar
This will sound daft to most, but drinking sugar?
Well of course most people don’t realize it but there is so much sugar in a lot of drinks nowadays it is almost scary, sodas, alcohol, sweetened beverages that many adults and children drink the world over, unfortunately these sorts of drinks are not only addictive but are massively counter productive when trying to lose weight.
It will be hard but try to swap all these drinks for water, the odd bad drink is ok, like anything moderation is key here.
One weird fact that not many people know is that your brain often confuses thirst with hunger, so the next time you crave a snack try a glass of water and see if that does the trick, often this is the case, you are just thirsty.
Not Getting The Right Exercise
The key to weight loss is to burn more calories than you consume, therefore it makes sense that diet and exercise go hand in hand together.
If your looking for faster weight loss and to keep it off when you have lost it, step up your workouts and intensities.
This is one of the most difficult lifestyle changes of all for most people, aim for 30 to 60 minutes intense exercise several days out of the week, when you get used to working out hard, you are more likely to stick with it and watch your body get slimmer and more toned.
